At 23:44 Station 4 & Station 8 were toned for a confirmed structure fire called in by a neighbor who had spotted the fire and awoken the residents who were sleeping at the time to exit the residence. Upon arrival Engine 4’s crew stretched a 1-3/4” pre- connect and knocked down the fire that was burning on the exterior of the structure. Tower 4’s crew pulled a second 1-3/4” pre-connect from Engine 4 and entered the structure on the first floor to extinguish the fire that had extended into the structure from the exterior fire. Engine 8’s crew pulled an additional 1-3/4” pre-connect from Engine 4 and entered the second floor of the structure to check for extension. The fire was contained to a room on the first floor and the exterior portion of the structure. The structure sustained heavy smoke damage and minimal water and fire control damage. This fire was determined to be a set fire. Other units on scene were Squad 4, Rescue 4 and HHVFD units Rescue 8, Tanker 8 and Squad 8.
