Station 4 was toned at 06:18 for a mutual aid response to assist City of Weirton fire department at the scene of a single family residential structure fire with flames showing upon their arrival. Engine 4 responded to scene and assisted with suppression activities.

At approx 14:20 C-46 and S-4 responded to investigate a call of a phone line down across all lanes of US Rt. 22 close to exit 3. Upon arrival we found a approximately 3 inch in diameter cable caught on a tractor trailer and lying across east and west bound lanes.

At approx. 22:30 R-4, E-4 and S-4 responded to the area of US Rt. 22 west bound lanes at the Follansbee exit for a motorcycle vs passenger vehicle accident. FFD units assisted with patient care and also close all lanes of 22 west bound and set up a LZ for State MedEvac.

At approx. 15:30 E-4, T-4 and S-4 responded to a reported structure fire with flames showing from the side of a structure. FFD units found the exterior wall on side D was burning as a result of a shorted electrical cable.

At approx. 17:30 R-4, S-4 and C-46 responded two a two vehicle MVA in the 200 block of Mahans Lane. FFD units assisted BCEMS with patient care, cleaned debris from the roadway and handled traffic for BCSD.

At 15:52 station 4 was toned to investigate a report of lines down on the roadway on Archer Heights Road. Upon arrival C-46 advised dispatch that we did have a telephone pole down with lines attached and blocking the road.

Station 4 was toned at 03:53 to set up a landing zone for State MedEvac and Brooke County EMS. Engine 4 responded to Jo John’s field and set up the LZ. State landed, loaded patient and departed for a Pittsburgh facility without incident.

Station 4 was toned at 21:56 for a large fire approximately 300 feet in the woods behind 125 Mahans Lane. Upon arrival of Engine 4 it was confirmed to be a single story old abandoned structure approximately 20’ x 30’.

Still alarm for a 3 vehicle MVA which occurred at 14:10 hours just across the street from Station 4. Personnel on station responded to assist BCEMS with patient care and FPD with traffic and debris cleanup.

On 4/15/14 at approximately 20:48 hours Station 4 was toned for a motor vehicle accident on US-22 west bound lanes. There were no injuries or entrapment.

Station 4 was toned at approximately 01:34 for a single vehicle MVA upon arrival FFD units found no entrapment and one injury. Patient was transported by WAARS medic unit, FFD units got traffic, debris and fluid cleanup.

Station 4 toned for a single vehicle MVA. Upon arrival the occupant was out of the vehicle. FFD units assisted BCEMS with patient care while getting traffic and cleaning up fluids. Units on scene were E-4, R-4 and S-4.

Tuesday, January 28th, 2014
Station 4 along with Station 8 responded to a locomotive fire at MSC coke plant. The fire was quickly contained with minimal damage to the locomotive.
