Station 4 was toned for a single vehicle MVA on US RT 22 east bound lanes. Upon arrival FFD units found there to be no injuries or entrapment. FFD units assisted BCSD Deputies with traffic control and cleaned up debris from the road.

Station 4 was toned for a passenger vehicle fire on State Rt. 2 in front of the Mountain State Carbon Coke Plant. E-4 crew made quick work of the engine compartment fire. Other units on scene were s-4 and C-46 also Follansbee PD assisted with traffic control.

Station 4 toned for a confirmed structure fire. Upon E-4 arrival it was confirmed heavy fire showing from the attached 2 car garage extending into the structure. Station 4 was assisted by Station 8 and Station 10.

Station 4 was toned for a working structure fire located at 300 Marquette Avenue. E-4 arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire showing from all sides of the structure. No one was home at the time of the fire.

Station 4 was toned for a two vehicle MVA. Upon arrival FFD units found the occupant out of the vehicle. The second vehicle was a tractor trailer sustained minor damage and the driver was not injured. Station 4 was assisted on scene by Weirton City FD.

The first day of August was a busy day for station 4. Squad 4 and Rescue 4 were initially toned for an MVA on U.S 22. FVFD units responding to the MVA were advised that EMS reported no entrapment, and advised that station 6 would handle the MVA.

5/8/2010 Station 4 was toned for a tree that had fallen onto a vehicle. S-4 and R-4 arrived on scene and found that a vehicle had been struck by a tree while traveling east on Cross Creek Road just east of Brooke High School.

At 22:41 Station 4 & Station 8 were toned for a confirmed structure fire called in by the residents who were home at the time, all occupants exited the residence. Upon arrival smoke was showing and Engine 4’s crew investigated and found the fire burning in the attic.

At 23:44 Station 4 & Station 8 were toned for a confirmed structure fire called in by a neighbor who had spotted the fire and awoken the residents who were sleeping at the time to exit the residence.

At 23:08 Follansbee PD unit 82 called in a confirmed garage fire. Station 4 & Station 8 were toned. Upon arrival of Engine 4 we found that unit 82 had extinguished the fire with his extinguisher. Engine 4’s crew put out a few hot spots, checked for extension and performed overhaul.
