Proudly serving our community for over 100 years.
Forty years ago on new years day 1969
The fire was directly across the street from our station. Mutual aid was called from surrounding communities. In all, five structures were destroyed, two commercial and three residential.
20 below zero wind chill, low water pressure and a good head start. There was one fatality, an elderly man who had lived in a residence in the rear alley where the fire had started.
